GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College baseball team fell to the Leopards of La Verne Tuesday.
Greensboro got on the board first with one run in the first inning.
Hunter Curtis doubled with one out in the inning before advancing to third base on a single from
Cameron Peters.
Curtis then came across the plate two batters later on a sacrifice fly for
Lincoln Hewett.
Following the one run top of the first, La Verne turned in a seven-run bottom half of the inning to take the lead and did not relinquish it.
Greensboro got one run in the fourth inning on a
Jacob Rodriguez double to left field before scoring their final two runs of the contest on a
DJ Lowry home run to right center field in the eighth inning.
Michael Davis took the loss on the mound while Peyton Snyder,
Peyton Ebel,
Lee Sells,
Kamren Keim,
Jacob Switzer,
Matthew Yates, and
Will White also saw time on the mound.
Lowry finished with a team-leading two hits on the day.
