GREENSBORO, N.C. – Blake Carroll hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning but the Greensboro College baseball team fell to the Quakers of Guilford College Tuesday 10-3.
Guilford held a 5-0 lead through five innings before Carroll plated
Brayden King with a home run to left field to pull the Pride to within three.
However, the Quakers added five more runs over the next three inning to take a 10-2 lead before the Pride scored their final run of the contest on a wild pitch in the ninth inning.
Jacob Rodriguez posted a team-high two hits while Carroll,
Casey Moore,
Scotty McGuire,
DJ Lowry, and King had one hit each.
Michael Davis took the loss on the mound but
Preston Snyder,
Cole Cooper,
Chenzo Scanio, and
Tyler Watson saw time on the mound.
