GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's basketball team fell to the Falcons of Pfeiffer University Wednesday 117-96.

However, Greensboro was able to start finding their stride over the final two minutes and used an 11-0 run to pull within 59-43 at the break.
Keyshawn Dorsey led the way during the run with six points while
Kevon Meertins and
Michael Phifer combined for five points.
Following intermission, Greensboro closed the gap to 11 points after
Eric Peaks Jr. netted five points to make the score 59-48.
Despite the run to open the half, Pfeiffer extended their lead back out to 17 points over the next three minutes before the Pride went on a 6-0 run to pull back within 11 at 69-58.
This time it was Peaks leading the run with five points.
Pfeiffer maintained their double-digit lead of the next six minutes before Greensboro climbed back to within eight with 7:25 on the clock after a 12-3 run that lasted 3:06.
Greyson Collins started the spurt with a long three-pointer before Peaks capped it off with a three of his own.
However, the Pride could not get any closer the remainder of the game as the Falcons went on to take the 19-point victory.
"We struggled on both ends of the court today," Head Coach
Bryan Galuski said. "We knew that we were going to have to stop the other team from putting the basketball into the net but we were unable to do that."
Peaks Jr. finished with a team-leading 19 points while
Carmoni Marks posted a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Pride men will return to action at 4 p.m. Saturday when they host the Pacers of William Peace University for senior day.
