GREENSBORO, N.C. – Eric Peaks Jr. tallied a double double of 21 points and 12 rebounds as the Greensboro College men's basketball team defeated Brevard College Wednesday 79-68.
Brevard held a 22-15 lead 10 minutes into the first half before Greensboro went on a 16-3 run to take a 31-25 lead.
Greyson Collins fueled the run with five points, while
Michael Phifer, Peaks, and
Kristian Williams combined for 11 points.
After the Pride established their six-point lead, the Tornadoes pulled back to within two but Greensboro quickly responded back with an 8-0 run to gain a 10-point advantage before going into the break with a 41-39 lead.
In the second half, Greensboro established their largest lead of the game at 65-51 before holding on for the 11-point victory.
Greyson Collins finished with 15 points while Phifer had 13 points and seven rebounds.
Keyford Langley chipped in eight points and dished out six assists.
