ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Greensboro College volleyball team dropped a pair of USA South Athletic Conference matches at North Carolina Wesleyan College Saturday.
Greensboro fell to the Spirits of Salem College, 3-0, in their first match of the day before falling in four sets to the host Bishops.
Against Salem, Greensboro battled back and forth in the first set before falling by a 28-26 score. Salem then went on the win the next two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-21 to close out the match.
Carly Uhlir had a team-high 11 kills while
Hailey Stout finished with 10 kills and one block.
Following their loss to Salem, Greensboro dropped the opening two sets of their match against North Carolina Wesleyan by scores of 25-22 and 25-18 before winning Set 3 25-23 to send the match into a fourth set. In the fourth, Greensboro struggled early and could not recover, falling by a 25-20 score.
Katrina O'Neill and
Sarah Egbers each posted 10 kills in the match while Dixie Faulk had 27 assists.
