GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College volleyball team fell to the Quakers of Guilford College Thursday 3-1.
The Pride dropped the opening set of the match by a 25-22 score before rallying back in Set 2 to win by a 26-24 score to even the match.
However, Guilford went on to win the next two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-18 to take the victory.
"We came out a bit slow but found our groove and played well," Head Coach
Kevin Troup said. "The energy was high, and we did well with our shot selection. Guilford made plays down the stretch and was able to capitalize on our miscues."
Carly Uhlir posted a team-leading 16 kills on the day while
Hailey Stout finished with 11 kills. Dixie Faulk passed for 38 assists and
Kayce Jo Harris collected a team-high 22 digs.
