FERRUM, Va. – The Greensboro College football team dropped their first road game of the season Saturday to the Panthers of Ferrum College, 81-0.
The two teams traded possessions early in the first quarter, but the Panthers struck on a long play to take a 7-0 lead.
Ferrum then took a 36-0 before scoring the remainder of their points in the second half.
"Ferrum is a really good football team and they did what they had to do," Head Coach
Greg Crum said. "We got off to one of the best starts that our team has seen as we held them at bay, but just could not hold on as we made some mistakes that lead to the early deficit.
"The future is still really bright for this program and I truly believe that. We have to get back at it and get ready for conference play next week.
Kasseem Bagley had a game-high 14 tackles, while Ju'Warren Byrd and
Garratt Brannock combined for 24 tackles.
Zachary Ellison averaged 39 yards per punt with a long of 51 yards.
