LaGRANGE, Ga. – The Greensboro College football team improved to 2-0 in USA South Athletic Conference play Saturday with a 4-1 victory over LaGrange College.
Carlos Barragan gave the Pride a one-goal lead in the 17
th minute with his seventh goal of the season.
Gerardo Peraza then extended the lead to 2-0 after he placed a ball past the Panthers keeper off an assist from
Camden Brooks heading into halftime.
Following the break, the Panthers got on the board in the 57
th minute to pull within one goal but
Jared Heller and
Torian Bullock struck for Greensboro over the final 28 minutes to secure the three-goal victory.
"The boys created a lot of chances and capitalized on them," Head Coach
Tony Falvino said. "I think we still left some chances on the field that we should have converted on.
"We now turn our focus to Huntingdon, especially with a quick turn around."
The Pride held a 16-2 advantage in shots, while holding a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Caelan Kohut picked up the win in goal.
