LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Greensboro College baseball team saw their USA South Athletic Conference Tournament run come to an end Friday after falling to the Lions of Piedmont College, 10-3.
Piedmont took a 7-0 lead into the fifth inning before Greensboro was able to plate their only three runs.
Hunter Curtis scored the Pride's first run on a Lions error before
Zach Neumeister scored
Brandon Soden with a triple to right field.
Neumeister then came in to score the final run on another Piedmont error, two batters later.
Despite the three run inning, the Pride was not able to get any closer and went on to fall by the seven-run margin.

Jimmy Short, Curtis and Soden had one hit each.
Tyler Garam was credited with the loss.
"This was the first time a lot of these guys have ever had a chance to play in a tournament like this," Head Coach
Frank Maldonado said. "I hope this was a great experience for our seniors and I hope our guys returning next season can learn from this.
"I am extremely proud of the way the guys competed and we made a great run at it. We still have four games left to play and we will continue working hard to get better each day."
