FERRUM, Va. – The Greensboro College baseball team dropped a pair of games to Ferrum College Saturday.
The Pride dropped the first game, 6-0, before falling in the nightcap, 7-1.
In game one, Ferrum scored single runs in the second, third, fourth, and sixth innings before tallying the game's final two runs in the seventh inning.
Derek Jaar had a team-high two hits, while
Andrew Ray,
Hunter Curtis, and
Brandon Soden had one hit each.
Piero Amador pitched 5 2/3 innings and was credited with the loss, while
Tyler Garam tossed the final 2 2/3 innings.
Ferrum then opened up a five-run lead in the second inning of the night-cap before Greensboro scored their lone run in the fourth inning on a Ray sacrifice fly to center field.
Greensboro had opportunities to score late in the game but could not push another run across.

Braedon Jewett, and Soden had one hit each.
Adam Murray was credited with the loss, while
Cameron Whitson pitched the final two innings.
