GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College baseball team dropped the final two games of a three-game set with Ferrum College Sunday.
The Pride dropped Game 1, 9-0, before suffering a 6-1 defeat in Game 2.
Greensboro could not get anything going in the first game as the Panthers jumped on top in the first inning and did not surrender the lead.
Cody York recorded a team-high two hits, while
Zach Neumeister,
Brandon Soden,
Kristopher Taveras, and
Edward Mililan recorded one hit each.
Josh Evans took the loss on the mound.
The Panthers then scored the first four runs of Game 2 before the Pride recorded its lone run in the third inning after York crossed the plate.
Neumeister had two-hits, while
Kyle Willard,
Bram Johnson, Daniel Efrid, and
J.P. Lisk each had one hit.
Dustin Minnick took the loss.
"We struggled with competing today," Head Coach
Frank Maldonado said. "We will continue working to get better."
