BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team fell to Birmingham Southern Tuesday 11-5.
The Panthers (5-1) took a 2-0 lead before
Gianni Gonzalez cut Greensboro's deficit in half.
Following two more BSC goals, Jonathan Avedsaian scored off an assist from
Daniel Wolf, but the Pride (1-6) went into halftime 5-2.
The Panthers added two more goals in the first three minutes of the third period to extend its advantage to 7-2.
Greensboro then pulled to within 7-4, following goals by
Denis Radcliffe and
Charles Stringfellow, but could not get any closer.
Stringfellow finished with a team-high two goals, while Radcliffe, Avedesian, and Gonzalez each had one.
Ethan Danser picked up the loss despite making 16 saves.
