Men's Lacrosse Falls In Final Road Contest To Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team fell to the Panthers of Ferrum College Wednesday, 20-9.

The Panthers scored the first three goals of the game before Jervon Speller got Greensboro on the board.

Ferrum then extended its lead to 5-1 but Gianni Gonzalez pulled Greensboro to within three goals off an assist by Jonathan Avedesian.

The Panthers blew the game open with a 10-0 run before Lamar Jelks stopped the bleeding with two goals, while Daniel Wolf tallied one goal to put the Pride within 15-5.

Over the final 18 minutes, Greensboro scored four times, but it was not enough as Ferrum took the 11-goal victory. Dennis Radcliffe scored two of the final four goals, while Joseph Stump and Gonzalez added one goal each.

"We came out extremely slow today and could not recover," Head Coach Mike Foderaro said. "We will get back on the field to get ready for Senior Day."

Jelks, Radcliffe, and Gonzalez each had a team-high two goals, while Speller, Wolf, and Stump each had one goal. Ethan Danser took the loss for Greensboro in goal.

The Pride men will return to the field at 4 p.m. Saturday when they host the Lions of Piedmont College for Senior Day. For more information on Greensboro College men's lacrosse, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
