GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team defeated Alfred State Friday 18-4.
Joseph Stump,
Jervon Speller, and
Jonathan Avedesian each scored one goal to give the Pride (3-8) a 3-0 lead before the Pioneers got on the board.
Greensboro then scored the next 12 goals to extend its margin to 15-1. Avedesain, Speller,
Alec Ganley, and
Denis Radcliffe each scored two goals during the run, while
Daniel Wolf,
Austin Bane,
Charles Stringfellow, and
Gianni Gonzalez each scored one.
Alfred State scored three goals in the fourth period, while
Tamarie Sterling,
Matt Weir, and Radcliffe scored one goal to secure the 14-goal victory.
"We showed that good things happen when we execute," Head Coach
Mike Foderaro said. "We hope that we can ride this momentum into our next game as we have a talented team from top to bottom."
Radcliffe, Avedesian, and Speller each recorded a team-high three goals, while Ganley tallied two goals. Radcliffe also recorded a team-high six assists.
Ethan Danser picked up the win in goal.
