BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Greensboro College men's lacrosse team dropped a 11-5 decision to Bridgewater College Wednesday.
The Eagles (5-2) took a 2-0 lead before the Pride (2-8) tied the game following goals by
Daniel Wolf and
Jervon Speller.
BC then jumped back in front following a goal by Daniel Brown, but
Tamarie Sterling evened the score once again with his fourth goal of the season.
Midway through the second period, the Eagles scored on a man-up advantage to take a 4-3 halftime lead.
Bridgewater was then able to outscore the Pride, 7-2, over the final two periods to secure the six-goal victory.
Joseph Stump and
Dominic Scott scored on goal each for Greensboro.
"We just did not take advantage of our opportunities today," Head Coach
Mike Foderaro said. "We will work on our mistakes and get ready for our next opponent on Friday."
Scott, Speller, Wolf, Sterling, and Stump each had one goal on the afternoon, while Sterling and
Victor Mehrtens each had a team-high one assist.
Ethan Danser took the loss for Greensboro despite recording 12 saves.
