GREENSBORO, N.C. – Alyssa Carbone scored a team-high 12 points, but the Pride women could not overcome a slow start Wednesday, falling to Ferrum College, 65-42.
The Panthers (12-11, 10-4 USA South) raced out to an 18-2 lead in the first period.
Greensboro (13-9, 9-4 USA South) used a 6-0 run in the second to pull within 38-21 before going into halftime down 52-31.
In the second half, the Pride could pull no closer than within 18 points.
Kamerin Williams recorded eight points and a team-high six rebounds, while
Monica Smalls chipped in seven points.
Bryanna Stanton finished with six points.
Krista Cox paced Ferrum with a game-high 15 points.
