GREENSBORO, NC – The Greensboro College women's soccer team hosted Meredith College on Wednesday afternoon. The Pride fell behind early in the contest and could not recover falling by a 6-0 score.
Meredith was able to get on the board in the ninth minute of play to take a 1-0 lead before going into the intermission period with a 3-0 lead.
The Angels then tallied three more goals in the second half for the 6-0 win.
"We just did not come ready to play today," Head Coach
Gus Mota stated following the game. "We have to quickly get this one out of our minds and get ready for Averett on Saturday."

Gabbriele Edinger each recorded a shot on goal. Ly'shanette Major took the loss in goal for Greensboro.
The Pride women will once again return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon against the Cougars of Averett University. The game will played at 2:00 PM on Pride Field on the campus of Greensboro College. This matchup will be the first ever contest on the newly constructed Astroturf surface.
