GREENSBORO, NC –
Robbie Barnes struck two times in the early part of the second half as the Pride men's soccer team defeated Guilford College, 3-1, on Wednesday night at Macpherson Stadium.
Guilford broke the scoreless tie in the eighteenth minute of play when Mark Dandanell beat Jamie Payamps to the top right corner of goal. The goal by Dandanell proved to be the lone goal of the opening segment as the Pride went into the halftime break trailing 1-0.
After the intermission period, it only took Greensboro nine minutes to find the equalizer.
Craig Gage possessed the ball for Greensboro just outside the right corner of the eighteen yard box when he found a dashing
Robbie Barnes who placed the ball in the upper right corner of the goal to tie the match at 1-1.
Just nine minutes later, the Pride used the same combination to put Greensboro top 2-1 before

"We did some good things in the first half of play besides giving up the goal," Head Coach

Greensboro dominated every statistical category including a 21-4 advantage in shots.
