Emory, Va – The Greensboro College Women's Soccer Team traveled up to Emory, Virginia, to take on Emory & Henry College in their fourth match of the young season.
After suffering their first loss of the season, against NCAA Division II, Coker College, on Wednesday, The Pride looked to get back to their winning ways. They didn't wait around long to get that ball rolling as
Meghan Cole scored her 4
th goal of the season in only the third minute of the contest.
The Pride got right back to work as
Melanie Raton scored another goal for her team on a penalty kick in the 25
th minute lifting her team to a 2-0 lead to go into halftime. The defense the Greensboro College would continue to play strong in the second half to clinch the shutout and the win.
Greensboro and the Wasps were dead even in the shot category with 11 each.

Lauren Greeson led the way with three shots while
Samara Alba fired two of her own. Despite being even in the shot category, the Pride held a hefty six two advantage in the corner kick category.
Brittany Morrison (two saves) picked up her third win of the season in goal.
The Greensboro College Pride improves their record to 3-1 on the season and look to continue the winning ways on Tuesday September 15
th at 7:00pm, as they take on the Guilford College Quakers.
