LOOKOUT MTN., GA – The Greensboro College Pride baseball team (11-21, 10-15) fell to the Scots of Covenant College in the opening game of a three game set on Friday afternoon by an 8-1 score.
The Scots took an 8-0 lead into the top half of the ninth inning before the Pride got on the board.
Brian Robbett doubled to open the top half of the ninth inning finding himself in scoring position. After Robbett doubled, Tyler Henderson singled to right center field to advance Robbett up 90 feet. The next batter, Braedon Jewett, was able to score Robbett on a fielder's choice for Greensboro's only run of the day.
Seven different Pride players recorded on hit each. Adam Murry tossed the first seven innings of play and took the loss.
