HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, VA – The Greensboro College Pride men's lacrosse team (4-8) fell to the host Tigers of Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday night by a score of 15-3.
Greensboro got one goal in the first quarter of play by Drew Farrell before going into the intermission period trailing 8-1.
In the third quarter of play, the Tigers would tally two more goals to extend their lead to 10-1 before Farrell found the back of the net for the second time on the day making the score 10-2.
Four minutes following the second goal by Farrell, Blaine Wise took a feed from Gianni Gonzalezto net the Pride's final goal of the contest.
After Greensboro scored their third goal, the Tigers then pulled away for the 15-3 victory.
Blaine Wise led the Pride with nine shots in the contest while teammate Denis Radcliffe fired seven shots of his own. Cody Cunningham took the loss between the pipes despite recording eleven saves.
The Pride will return to the field this Saturday when they travel to Demorest, Georgia to take on the Lions of Piedmont College. The first faceoff of the game is set for 6:00 PM. For the latest on the Pride men's lacrosse team, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
