WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Greensboro College women's basketball team defeated the Spirits of Salem College Wednesday, 72-63.
The Pride (3-4) scored the game's first 11 points.

Alexis Hite and
Courtney Pearsal added buckets.
Greensboro stretched its seven-point lead at the end of the first period to 13, at 38-25, at intermission.
Following the break, Salem (2-7) rallied back to take a 50-49 lead before the Pride pulled away in the final segment for the nine-point victory.
"We played well for the most part tonight," Head Coach
Randy Tuggle said. "After leading for the entire first half, we struggled in the third period but was able to recover for the win. As a team, we will continue working towards putting a full 40-minutes of play together."
Jada Peterson, Hite, and Williams each recorded a team-high 12 points, while Pearsal chipped in 11 points.
Da Jah Joyner recorded eight points.
Monica Smalls pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds, while Williams pulled down 10 to complete her first double-double of the season.
