GREENSBORO, N.C – Shaun Watt's hat trick helped lead the Pride to a 4-1 Senior Day victory Saturday over Piedmont College.
Prior to the start of the game, the Pride men's soccer team recognized 10 players who were playing their final home regular season game.
Watt scored his first goal in the third minute to put Greensboro on top 1-0.
Later in the half,
Robbie Barnes found the back of the net before
Jared Heller assisted Watt's second goal to send Greensboro into the intermission period with a 3-0 lead.
After halftime, Watt capped the Pride scoring in the 61
st minute before Piedmont broke the shutout with a goal in the 90
th minute.
"It was a good performance by the boys today, and it was a great way to send off our seniors," Head Coach
Tony Falvino said. "We were able to create a lot of chances, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal. We now move our focus to North Carolina Wesleyan."
Watt recorded a team-high four shots, while
Craig Gage and
Robbie Barnes recorded three shots. Jamie Payamps picked up the win in goal.
