Greensboro, NC -- The Greensboro College Pride Men's Soccer team took on the William Peace Pacers, in a match held on the new Pride Field. This would be only the second time the men have played on their new turf, and they would not disappoint in their return.
Scoring the first goal of the game (13:38) was
Craig Gage, on the assist from
Carlos Barragan. It would not take long for Greensboro College to find the back of the net for a second time. In the 25
th minute,
Carlos Barragan scored on a penalty kick to make the score 2-0, in favor of the Pride.
The two goals in the first half would be all that the Pride would need to collect their fifth consecutive victory. Out of the last five games, the men have only allowed one goal in the 6-1 win over Huntingdon College on October 11th.
When asked about the game, Head Coach
Tony Falvino said, "The boys did enough today to get the result, which is always good. Overall, it was a very sloppy game and we need to learn from this to get better. We will have another opportunity to do so, this Saturday, with another conference game at Ferrum."Â
The Greensboro College Men's Soccer team will be back in action at Ferrum College on Saturday, October 17
th at 4:00 PM, as they look for their sixth win in a row.Â
