Tim McGuire

Tim McGuire returns to Greensboro College in 2026 as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program after previously serving as an assistant coach for the men's program from 2022-24. With more than a decade of coaching experience, McGuire has built a reputation for developing players at both the club and collegiate levels.

McGuire currently serves as a staff coach with the NC Fusion, working with both the boys' and girls' programs. His extensive coaching background, commitment to player development, and rapport within the soccer community make him a valuable addition to the Pride coaching staff.

"We are thrilled to welcome Tim to our staff," said Head Coach Mike Johnston. "His passion for player development is unmatched, and he is highly respected throughout the soccer community. Tim will bring tremendous value to our program through training, recruiting, and helping our student-athletes both on and off the field".

Dedicated to individual player growth, McGuire conducts more than 100 individual and small-group training sessions annually. He specializes in helping players bridge the gap between youth soccer and the collegiate game by emphasizing technical proficiency, tactical intelligence, and a strong understanding of the demands of the next level.
As a player, McGuire was a standout at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown from 1997-2001.
