Sharon Bond was added to the Greensboro College women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach in December 2020.  Last season, Coach Bond helped lead the Pride to a share of the regular season USA South East Division Championship, with a 17-1 conference record and 25-2 overall, the best in school history.  The Pride won 18 consecutive games until falling in the semi-finals of the conference tournament.  She mentored two players to the All USA South First team in Lauren Livingston and Ta'Keria Legette.

Bond played collegiate basketball at East Carolina University from 1986-1988, following a two-year stint at Peace College (now William Peace University). Following her graduation from ECU, Bond continued to play recreational basketball for the City of Raleigh with her former teammates, along with former collegiate players from other universities.

Beyond basketball, Bond honorably served in the Army Reserve for eight years and received her master’s in health administration from Southern New Hampshire University.

She has served as a registered nurse and had been employed as a healthcare consultant for 25 years. During that time, Bond has provided advisory, audit, and educational services to healthcare facilities and practitioners across the country. She is highly requested as a facilitator and specializes in helping organizations maximize its potential through its people.
