Abria Trice is entering her third season with the Pride after being named assistant coach last December of 2020.  Last year, Greensboro earned a share of the regular season USA South East Division Championship, with a 17-1 conference record and 25- 2 overall, the best in school history.  The Pride won 18 consecutive games until falling in the semi-finals of the conference tournament.  She mentored two players to the All USA South First team in Lauren Livingston and TaKeria Legette. The team finished in the top 10 of scoring offenses nationally, at over 84 points per game, as well as 9th nationally in scoring margin (24.4 points) and 13th nationally in field goal percentage (34.2%).
 
In 2020-21, the Pride advanced to the conference tournament. After starting the season 1-7, GC finished the year with a 6-9 record, placing fourth in the conference.
 
Trice played professionally overseas in Finland (Vimpelin Veto) during the 2019-2020 season where she was named Player of the Week for round 11 and was Vive’s top player. Trice also finished the season as the league’s third highest scorer with 21.1 points per game while adding 1.7 blocks and 2.1 steals per contest. Prior to playing in Finland, Trice worked as the operations manager for the Atlanta Dream of WNBA in the summer of 2019. Additionally, Trice also previously played professionally in Belgium, Switzerland and Luxembourg where she was selected to the Eurobasket.com All-Belgian League Second Team (2018), Eurobasket.com All-Swiss SBL Honorable Mention (2017), and Eurobasket.com Luxembourg League All-Imports Team (2016). 

In addition to starting her overseas career, Trice was the Head JV Coach at her alma mater (Dutchtown High School) in 2015 while also serving as an assistant varsity coach.
A 2015 East Carolina University graduate, Trice played for the Pirates (2012-2015) while current Pride head coach Heather Macy was at the helm of the program. During that time, Trice was the Pirates’ leading scorer and helped guide the team to consecutive 22-win seasons. Additionally, Trice was named Second Team All-Conference USA and was awarded the Most Valuable Pirate Award, while being named to the NCCSIA All-State Women’s Basketball Second Team. Before transferring to ECU, Trice played at UNC Wilmington 2010-12 under former Olympic gold medalist and Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) Most Valuable Player, Cynthia Cooper-Dyke, while making two consecutive postseason appearance in the WNIT.
