Greensboro College head men’s basketball coach Jim Boone has announced the addition of Dalton Coleman to his coaching staff.

“We are very excited to add Dalton to our coaching staff and the Greensboro College family,” said Boone.
"He is a great fit for GC, a great fit for our staff, and a great fit for our players not only has experienced winning at a high level, but he comes to us with an NCAA Division III pedigree, that will serve our players well. He has demonstrated himself as a tireless worker, someone who is eager to serve, and most importantly Dalton is a terrific person. He does a great job of connecting with people and will make a positive impact on the College and our program immediately.”

Coleman joins The Pride from NCAA Division I Gardner-Webb University in the Big South Conference, where he served as a graduate assistant coach. His many responsibilities included player development, game and practice preparation, game and practice analytics, on-the-court participation in practice, and day-to-day program operations.

“I’m humbled and honored to be joining the staff at Greensboro College,” Coleman said. Coach Boone is a legendary coach with an impeccable reputation of success and program building. I am so excited to be a part of such a special situation; to learn from a great staff and to help develop and grow such an outstanding group of young men. I look forward to investing all of my time, energy and effort into helping our staff to create a championship culture.”

Coleman got his first taste of winning at the collegiate level and winning championships during his time as a player at NCAA Division III Maryville College in Tennessee. Coleman, a four year lettermen, helped lead the Scots to two USA South Conference Tournament Championships in 2019 and again in 2021. Coleman graduated with a bachelor's degree in health and wellness promotion from Maryville College and is currently completing a master's degree in Sport Management through Gardner-Webb University.
