Ty Clodfelter enters his first year as the Pride's Specialist Coach.
He was a 4 year starting kicker for Guilford College from 1989-1992, breaking 2 school records along the way. In 1991, Clodfelter helped Guilford secure its first and only stand alone ODAC Championship with game winning field goals against Hampden-Sydney and Emory & Henry. It was the second year in a row that Hampden Sydney fell victim to one of his game winning field goals. Clodfelter ranks in the top five in four different categories in Guilford's all time record book.
Clodfelter returned to his alma mater as a kicking coach from 1997-2000, He served as a club soccer coach in Randolph County from 2009-2019. He also was an assistant soccer coach at Wheatmore High School from 2016-2019, with Wheatmore winning conference championships in 2018 and 2019. Most recently he has served as an assistant golf coach for Wheatmore from 2022-24.
Clodfelter was a 3x all-conference soccer player at Trintiy High School in Trinity, NC from 1986-88, and was the team's captain and MVP in 1987 and 1988. He kicked for Trinity's 1987 and 1988 football team coached by Tommy Pursley.
Clodfelter graduated with a B.S. in Management from Guilford College in 1994
Raised in Archdale, NC, Clodfelter currently resides in Trinity, NC with his wife of 24 years, Janet, and their son Jake.
