Richard Bonds

Coach Bonds is entering his 1st season as the Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive backs coach becoming part of the Pride this spring. Prior to Greensboro College, coach Bonds was Special Teams Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, Executive Head coach and Safeties and Corners, Head Track and Field Coach at Virginia University of Lynchburg for 4 years From 2021-24, he coached the Line backers and Special Teams Coordinator(15-16) at Waldorf University in Iowa.

Coach Bonds has also coached at two foreign Universities American football teams, 2026 (GUC) German University of Cairo, in Cairo Egypt as Head Coach/Sports director and Defensive Coordinator and Koc University (pronounced coach) in Istanbul Turkey in 2017 both winning their federation nation championship as Asst. Head coach and Special Teams Coordinator for the Men’s University Pro-Team and assistant coach for the University Team. He began coaching collegiately as a volunteer at Allen University in South Carolina after coaching middle and high school football in South Carolina.

Coach Bonds has coach and lived in over 19 different countries from 2008-2022 In countries such as France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, turkey Australia, New Zealand, Poland and a host of others, including four national team nominations as coach of Norway, Egypt and Serbia, and Defensive Backs Coach for Danish National team 2009 winning Silver medal as Vice European champions Group B.

A native of Spartanburg SC, Bonds presently resides in Columbia, SC. Coach Bonds earned his bachelor's in International Business with a minor in Marketing. He has also earned his master's in education at North Central University and a master's in Sports Management.Â
