Jonathan Burton enters his third season with the Pride, coaching defensive tackles in 2025.
Burton comes to the Pride after being the secondary coach at McMichael High School in Rockingham County, NC. During his three seasons there (2020-2022), he helped the Fighting Phoenix make three playoff appearances with a back to back 7-3 seasons. This is a first in program history.
Prior to that, Burton assisted with the secondary at Guilford College from 2017 to 2020 as a defensive assistant coach.
Burton played two years of college football at Fayetteville State University as an Offensive Lineman. He graduated in 2015 with a B.S in Professional Studies with a concentration in Physical Education
He played his high school football at Dudley High School in Greensboro, NC.
A native to Greensboro, NC, along with his parents who also reside in Greensboro.
