Greensboro College Pride

2021: Made eight appearances with four starts to total 23 innings pitched. He struck out 19 batters and posted a 5.87 ERA while opponents batted .233 against him. Slater pitched his longest outing in relief on 4/14 against Roanoke where he threw five innings and struck out five. He also threw four innings in a 4/27 start against Mary Baldwin where he struck out four.

2020: Made seven appearances where had totaled nine innings pitched and struck out seven batters. Slater posted a scoreless two innings of relief in the 2/14 matchup against Rhodes.

2019: Made 14 appearances with four starts, posting a 4-3 record with 34 and two-third innings pitched and a 3.37 ERA. He struck out 16 batters and opponents batted .258 against him. His longest outing was a five-inning effort 4/28 at LaGrange where he struck out three batters. Slater struck out a season-high four batters in a three and two-third innings effort at Lynchburg 4/16.

PREP: Clayton played four years in the Clearwater High School program where he was named team captain his senior season and was named to the All-State Academic Team.

PERSONAL: Clayton is the son of Gabe and Kristine and has three sisters (Emily, Kelli, and Molly).
