Greensboro College Pride

PREP: Nixon competed on the baseball, basketball, cross country and track teams at Bessemer City High School. His high school baseball and academic achievements include 2015 Athlete of the Year, 2015 Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarship Recipient and 2015 U.S. Marine Distinguished Athlete Award. He went on to play baseball at Guilford Technical Community College, where he was named to the NJCAA All-Academic Third Team and the Dean's List. His parents are Michael and Ericka Nixon, and he has two brothers, Jacob and Michael.
 
Why I Chose Greensboro College: "I wanted to finish my four-year degree at a smaller college where I could continue to play baseball. I really like the coaching staff, and they were very welcoming. I can't wait to see what the next two years holds for me here at Greensboro College."
