Misenheimer, NC - Greensboro College Softball (14-14, 5-5) traveled to Pfeiffer (24-8, 9-1) on Saturday and fell in both games of a doubleheader.
Game One:
The Pride fell 5-2 in game one. Greensboro scored the first 2 runs of the game in the second inning after a 2-RBI double by
Ella Ebert. In the third, Pfeiffer scored 3 of their own to take a 3-2 lead.
In the fourth, the Falcons scratched 2 more runs across to take a 5-2 lead. Greensboro wouldn't be able to mount a late comeback and took a game one loss.
Ebert started in the circle for Greensboro, going 3.0 innings and giving up 5 runs.
Anna Frazier threw the final three frames. At the plate, Ebert went 2-2 with 2 RBI.
Game Two:
Greensboro couldn't overcome an 8-0 deficit early on and would fall 9-5 in game two. The Falcons scored 8 runs in the first two innings to take an 8-0 lead. However, Greensboro would battle back in the third inning by scoring 4 runs to cut the score to 8-4.
Each team would score one more time in the game, as the Falcons closed out the sweep. For Greensboro,
Katherine Connell had 3 hits including a double.
Raven Taylor hit a 3-run homer for her first home run of the season.Â

Greensboro plays a non-conference series against Carolina University on Monday on the road beginning at 1:00 pm.
