Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Women's Lacrosse (2-6, 1-2) earned a 15-3 win over Brevard (2-4, 1-1) on Saturday afternoon at Pride Field.
After the Tornados scored the opening goal, Greensboro scored seven straight to go up 7-1 in the second quarter.
KP Pageot and
Keira Fenyo combined for six of those goals.
Sydney Patton scored the last two goals of the first half and Greensboro was ahead 9-2 after the first 30 minutes.
The route continued as Greensboro scored four goals in the third quarter and and two more in the fourth. The Pride allowed just one second half goal.Â
Patton led Greensboro with 6 goals while Fenyo scored 4.
Genesis Chinchilla also scored, while
Carly Walton scored her first career goal. Fenyo had 11 ground balls while
McKenzie Koos had 10. Fenyo also caused 7 turnovers.
Aaliayh Akers got the win in goal, collecting 4 saves.
Notes:
- The team's 15 goals is the most they have scored this season.
- Patton scored a career high 6 goals.
- Fenyo is third in the USA South in ground balls with 33.
