Ashland, VA - Greensboro College Softball (7-7) traveled to #24 Randolph-Macon (8-4) on Wednesday afternoon for a doubleheader. They would fall in game one 8-3 and then were defeated in game two 7-0.
Game One:
Greensboro took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI bunt from
Paydon Reynolds and an
Olivia Hyatt RBI single. However, the Yellow Jackets scored four times in the bottom of the first and wouldn't relinquish the lead again.
They would score twice in the second, twice in the fourth, and once in the sixth. Greensboro scored one final run in the fifth on an error by the Yellow Jackets' defense.Â
Anna Frazier went 2-4 with 2 runs scored, while
Raven Taylor went 1-1 with a walk.
Ella Ebert started in the circle and gave up 3 earned runs in 4.0 innings.
Game Two:
Greensboro couldn't get the offense going in game two, falling 7-0. Frazier started in the circle for the Pride and got off to a solid start. She gave up just 2 runs through four innings, but Randolph-Macon would score 3 runs in the fifth to break the game open.Â

Alexis Lynch.
