GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro College men's soccer (7-0-3) tied Pfeiffer (4-3-2, 0-2-1) 2-2 on Saturday at Pride Field.
Gustav Ohman scored once and led Greensboro with three shots, putting all three on goal. Ohman reached 10 goals for the season.
Kayden Brimah added a goal on his lone shot, marking his first goal his career.
Axel Garcia recorded an assist and took one shot.
Alvaro Arroyo played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with seven saves, including six in the second half.
Pfeiffer finished with 15 shots and nine on goal, compared with Greensboro's nine shots and six on goal, and
Alvaro Arroyo made seven saves for Greensboro. Greensboro still put two-thirds of its attempts on target, with Ohman and Brimah scoring and
Axel Garcia assisting Ohman's opener.
Greensboro took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Ohman scored from
Axel Garcia's assist at 14:09. Pfeiffer generated pressure after that, including two shots and two corner kicks from 25:24 to 30:07, but Greensboro did not concede and carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime.
Greensboro's second-half lead did not hold, as Alex Michael scored for Pfeiffer at 85:52 to make it 2-2. Earlier, Brimah put Greensboro ahead 2-1 at 57:51 after Pfeiffer had tied the match shortly after halftime.
Alvaro Arroyo made six saves in the half, and Greensboro finished the match in a 2-2 draw.
