GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro College women's soccer (5-3-2) defeated Regent (3-4-0) 4-0 on Wednesday. Greensboro finished with a 27-1 shot advantage and put 15 shots on goal while allowing only one.
Greensboro got goals from
Claire Friedlander,
Abby Lush,
Alex Dawson and
Trinity Robinson.
Alyssa Lane recorded one save in the shutout win.
Greensboro went in front at 9:54 on Friedlander's goal from
Shae Brennan and kept adding on before halftime. Lush scored from
Abigail Sanzotta at 19:01, Dawson followed from Sanzotta at 22:59, and Robinson finished
Audrey Edwards' assist at 31:09 to send Greensboro into halftime ahead 4-0.
Greensboro has achieved at least four goals in two consecutive games. The team saw out a scoreless second half to complete a 4-0 win. Greensboro continued to create chances, including six shots and two corner kicks from 68:42 to 77:40, while Lane saved Kylie Gaines' 64:26 attempt to help keep Regent off the board.
Friedlander scored the game-winning goal and put both of her shots on frame.
Abigail Sanzotta recorded two assists and placed her lone shot on goal. Sanzotta has recorded at least two assists in two consecutive games. Robinson scored and finished with four shots, including two on goal. Dawson added a goal on four shots, with two attempts on target.
