The Greensboro College Softball team has released their 2026 schedule. The team comes into the new year off a 2025 that saw them win 30 games, including 13 in conference play, and a trip to the USA South Conference Tournament.
The team begins the year on February 11 with a home double-header against Sweet Briar, and will play their first three series of the year at home. Roanoke College comes to town February 14, and then another ODAC opponent, Averett University, comes to Barber Park on February 18.
Greensboro hits the road beginning on February 25 with a double-header against Surry Community College, and then play in the Triangle Classic in Raleigh March 6-8. Two big road trips happen after the Triangle Classic, as Greensboro goes to Randolph-Macon on March 11 and then play their cross-town rival Guilford March 15.
USA South Conference play begins March 28 as the Pride return home for a series with NC Wesleyan. Greensboro has home conference series against the Bishops, Methodist, Brevard, and Salem while traveling to Meredith, Pfeiffer, Mary Baldwin, Southern Virginia, and William Peace. The first round of the USA South Conference Tournament begins April 30.
Head Coach
Brianna Strickland, says of the 2026 schedule, "The Greensboro College Softball team is set to open the 2026 season with a competitive schedule that balances early non-conference tests with key USA South matchups. The Pride will face a strong slate of regional opponents early in the season, providing valuable opportunities to grow and compete before conference play begins. Home games at Barber Park will play a major role in the schedule, giving fans many opportunities to support the team throughout the spring. Conference play will serve as a critical stretch as Greensboro looks to make a push toward postseason contention. The schedule is designed to challenge the roster while building consistency and momentum as the season progresses. With a mix of home and road contests, the 2026 season will test the Pride's resilience and preparation. Greensboro College Softball looks forward to an exciting spring and the opportunity to compete at a high level in 2026."
