Fayetteville, NC - Greensboro Baseball took on Methodist in game two of the USA South Conference Championship Series on Friday and fell 10-5, losing the series 2-0.

It was a low scoring first half of the game, as the Monarchs held a 2-1 lead after 5 innings. Nick Stegura was magnificent on the mound for Greensboro, going 6.1 innings while giving up 2 hits and 3 runs.

Unfortunately the Monarchs took advantage of defensive miscues and walks from the Pride, and pulled away late to earn the conference title.

Despite the loss, it was a very successful season for Greensboro, winning 28 games and earning the #2 seed in the conference tournament. They set multiple new offensive records along the way while being one of the top offenses in NCAA Division III.

The Pride will look to bring back a lot of familiar faces in 2026 and make another run at a conference crown.
