Anna Frazier was the walk-off hero for Greensboro Softball on Thursday as the Pride defeated Southern Virginia 3-2 in game one of the first round of the USA South Conference Tournament.
With the score 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning,
Raven Taylor hit a two-out triple to set up
Anna Frazier. Frazier then lined one into the left-center field gap to score Taylor and send the Pride to the winner's bracket along with NC Wesleyan.
The win is the 29th of the season for Greensboro, and sets up a matchup with #2 seed NC Wesleyan on Saturday. The Bishops defeated Methodist in the first game of the day on Thursday.
Frazier also pitched strong in the circle, going 7.0 innings and giving up 5 hits with 2 strikeouts. The win is Frazier's 9th of the season. At the plate, Taylor and Frazier had 3 hits each, while the team totaled 11 for the game.
