Spartanburg, SC - The Greensboro Men's Golf team finished in second place at the USA South Conference Tournament in Spartanburg, SC as the tournament came to completion on Wednesday.
Greensboro had a solid day three to surpass Southern Virginia for second place, finishing behind Methodist. For the tournament, the Pride shot +39.
Watcharakan Chankarn shot +3 (219) for the tournament, finishing fifth place overall.
Brevin Knight finished seventh, giving Greensboro two top ten finishers. Knight, a senior, finishes his Greensboro career with a solid final tournament.
Chankarn shot even par in the first and third rounds, while shooting +3 in round two. Knight shot -1 under par in round three, tied for the third best score of the final round.
Reece Venable was the third best finisher for Greensboro, shooting +13 for the tournament.
Chankarn is ranked #22 in all of NCAA Division III, leading the Pride for most of the season. He had one top three finish and a 71.3 scoring average. He is also ranked #16 in the region. Knight had a scoring average of 73.8. The team finishes the conferene tournament ranked #44 in the nation and are ranked #15 in the region.
