Greensboro, NC - Greensboro women's lacrosse hosted Southern Virginia on Wednesday and fell 20-3.
The Pride got on the board first on a
Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce goal less than a minute into the game. SVU scored the next five goals before
Regan Dailey scored to make it a 5-2 game.
After Dailey's goal, the Knights took off and pulled away. Greensboro did get their third goal of the day from
Alexandra Carefoot in the third quarter.
Kenzie Helton led the Pride in ground balls with three, while
Keira Fenyo and
Bethany McQuinn each had a caused turnover. In goal,
Carly Walton moved into fifth all-time in program history in saves as she reached 225 career saves. Both Walton and
D'Kayla Thomasson had four saves for the game.
Greensboro will take on Brevard on Sunday in their next contest beginning at 2:00 pm.
