Greensboro, NC - Greensboro women's lacrosse hosted their first of two home games on spring break week against Northwood University on Tuesday and fell 17-3.
The Pride offense came out firing as they scored the first two goals of the game.
Rosanna Espinosa-Ponce scored unassisted just under two minutes into the game, and then
Regan Dailey scored a minute later.
Northwood quickly responded as they scored the next five goals.
Brynly ManWaring stopped the streak by scoring a goal midway through the first period to trim the lead to 5-3. Unfortunately Greensboro was shutout the rest of the game as Northwood scored the next fourteen goals.
MaWaring had two caused turnovers for the game to go along with her goal. In goal,
D'Kayla Thomasson had ten saves, three shy of her single game career high set last season.
Greensboro will host Westminter College on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
