Greensboro, NC - Greensboro College Women's Basketball (2-1) earned a 106-32 win over Mid-Atlantic Christian (0-1) on Sunday afternoon.
The Pride pulled out to a 29-4 lead after the first quarter, and then scored 27 more points in the second period. The team made 23 field goals in the first half as well as 6 three-pointers.
The second half was more of the same, as Greensboro finished off a dominant win. The team totaled a program-record 111 shots from the floor and a conference and program record of 51 three-point attempts.
Freshman
Jayda Hairston led the team with 16 points, shooting 4-10 from long range.
Karlie Effler had 13 points while
Kensly Stewart and
Jenx Ervin both had 11 points. Ervin had 11 rebounds to complete a double-double.
Greensboro will play again on Wednesday when they host Randolph College at 5:30 pm.
