Women's Soccer Dominates Second Half, Defeats William Peace 4-0

Cary, NC - It was 4 goal second half that lifted Greensboro College Women's Soccer (8-4-2, 3-2) to a 4-0 win over conference foe William Peace (1-9-1, 0-6-0) on Saturday afternoon.

The Pride were on the attack all game long, totaling 23 shots with 13 on goal. They had 11 first half shots, but couldn't get any of them to find the back of the net as the score remained 0-0 at the half.

However, Abby Sanzotta got the scoring started in the 59th minute off an assist by Cameron Marcodes to give Greensboro a 1-0 lead. The goal was Sanzotta's first as a member of the Pride.

In the 68th minute, Kendall Kamm scored the first of two goals on the afternoon on another Marcondes assist. Just 5 minutes later, Kamm scored again, this time unassisted, to give Greensboro a 3-0 lead. The fourth goal came from Abby Lush in the 75th minute off an assist from Cailey Petrauskas. The goal was Lush's third of the week, as she scored two goals against Mary Baldwin on Tuesday.

Greensboro had three goalkeepers play in this one, as Griffin Horn played the first 45 minutes, while Shyann Hansen and Carlisle Dozier split time in the second half. Hansen would have the lone save for the Pride.

Greensboro will enter their next match on a three game win streak when they take on Southern Virginia on the road October 15.
