Greensboro College men's wrestling juniorÂ
Isaiah Manning was named the ODAC Heavier Weight Wrestler of the Week on Monday.
Manning, from Greensboro, is in his first season with the Pride and earned his first tournament championship as a member of the Greensboro men's wrestling program at the Jim Crytzer Invitational on Saturday.Â
Manning, wrestling in the 197lb weight class, received byes through the first two rounds and then advanced to face Harris Sullivan from Roanoke. Sullivan had to forfeit the match, so Manning advanced to defeat Marymount University's Mohammed Fofana by winning a 10-9 decision in the semifinal round. In the championship match, Manning won via Fall in 5 minutes, taking down Tucker Bellanca from Washington and Lee.
