Danville, VA - The Greensboro women's soccer team traveled to Averett on Saturday afternoon and fell to the Cougars 4-1.
Greensboro got on the board first when
Skyler Molnar scored off an assist from
Emily Walsh. This was Molnar's first goal of the season anf fourth of her career.
Averett took control after Molnar's goal, as they scored the next three goals to pull away. Celia de Diego scored three of the four goals for Averett. Isabel Simb would score the other goal for the Cougars.Â
Averett out-shot Greensboro 16-8 on the match, while Pride goalies
Lindsay Fox and
Carlisle Dozier combined for 6 saves.
Greensboro will take the short trip to Guilford College on Monday for a 7:00 pm match-up with the Quakers.Â
