Greensboro, NC - On a beautiful day at Pride Field, the Greensboro Men's Lacrosse team (5-6, 1-3) took on USA South Conference opponent Piedmont University (9-2, 2-1) on Saturday and fell 20-4.
Early on in the game, the Pride held their own against the Lions, but the Piedmont offense would prove to be too much to handle as the game went along. The Lions got out to a 7-0 lead before
Jameson Doll and
Leo Ringelberg scored within seconds of each other to make the score 7-2.
From there, Piedmont scored 12 straight goals. The Lions out-shot the Pride 55-29 on the game. Greensboro had 31 turnovers to the Lions' 17.
In the fourth quarter, Greensboro would get goals from
Justin Barry and
Chas Gilroy. Barry now has a team high 28 goals on the season.
The Pride will play again on April 6th when they travel to play LaGrange College at 12:00 pm.                                                                                         Â
