Roanoke, VA - It was a weekday double header as Greensboro Softball played a series at Roanoke College and earned a split of the double header.
Game One:
Lauren Engel continue her outstanding season in the circle with a complete game shutout. She only allowed three hits and had three strikeouts.
The offense provided just enough run support to get the victory.
Alexis Sox went 2-4 with two runs scored, while
Kelsey Craven had a three hit game in the win.
Anna Frazier also had two hits as did freshman
Rigdon Lambeth.
Game Two:
The Pride were shutout 8-0 in game two as Roanoke put a great effort together to get the win. The Greensboro offense only had four hits on the game.
Lauren Engel got the start in the circle again in game two, and pitched well until the Roanoke offense finally broke through in the fifth inning. Center fielder
Ivy Ray had a two hit game for the Pride.
Greensboro will travel to Guilford on Wednesday for a double header with the Quakers.
